Do-It-Yourself Design Studio and Print Shop

“Give A man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.” -Chinese Proverb

DIY Design and Print is geared toward the creative professional. We are creative professionals and we know a ton of creative types who could use our services but may not necessarily have the funds due to other overhead costs of starting and maintaining a small business. Because you are in a creative field or you are simply a creative person you don’t need full service Design and Print or Branding and Marketing services. You have ideas and know what you want and just need a little help with implementing those ideas. We are a creative team of artists who specialize in helping people who are passionate about their business make their vision a reality. We offer creative businesses and individuals who qualify, free design and print workshops (starting March 2nd, 2011). This is our way of giving back to our local community as well as engaging with our local community and building lasting relationships.

Workshops

Workshops are offered on Wednesday nights from 6-8pm. All of our workshops are currently booked through the end of the year. We may offer another workshop series starting in early 2012. If you  subscribe to our newsletter (to the right) we will keep you posted on new workshops being offered in the future.

In an intimate setting attendees will arrive with an idea and leave with print and web ready files which can then be used in various print and web applications specifically for marketing purposes. Workshops are free but YOU MUST BE PRE-APPROVED to attend. Approval is based on the stage you are in conceptualizing your logo, business card or website. We want everybody to benefit from the time they spend in our workshops, so we need to be sure that you have a concept and are ready to get started on design. For example if you are starting a catering business and you want to attend our DIY Logo Design Workshop, then you should arrive with a concept for design with all the elements that will be included in your logo. If you want to use a sprig of Thyme in your logo, arrive with images that represent the image you’d like in your logo along any other elements you may want to include in your logo such as fonts, color ideas, etc. If you are registering for the Web Design Workshop, you should arrive with all content for EACH page. This would include all images, links, copy, etc. YOU MUST ATTEND DIY WEBSITE DESIGN I PRIOR TO ATTENDING II.

Current workshops offered are:

  • Logo Design
  • Business Card Design and Print
  • Do-It-Yourself Website Design I
  • Do-It-Yourself Website Design II
